Warren Farrell's The Myth of Male Power: Why Men Are the Disposable Sex is published. In it, Farrell suggests that the American male is the new "nigger", and that feminism allows women to pursue their goals through charges of sexual harassment. It becomes the holy script of the MRA movement.
2009
Paul Elam launches A Voice For Men from his laptop. It serves as "the vanguard" for a growing activism to reclaim male privilege by reducing female power.
2011- November
Anders Breivik murders 77 children and adults at a camp in Norway. His manifesto is published online. In it, Breivik rages against political correctness and offers an engaged expression of men's rights ideology in which females use "erotic capital" to "manipulate" men, fathers become "disposable", and "using terror to wake up the masses."
2011- December
A Voice for Men launches Register.her, intended to mimic sex offender registries and claiming to track female murders, rapists, and schemers. The site's motto: "Fuck Their Shit Up."
2013
MRA's continue to refine and propagate their "doxing" techniques, which involve publicizing personal information to make someone a target of harassment. See the case of Ohio college student, Rachel Cassidy.

Journalist Jessica Roy travels to an MRA conference and attempts to digest the ongoing sense of victimization she hears in the room. The article is published in Time, a major news outlet.
